Quick question.

I got a closet grow going with a 400w.

I've tried quadruple thick mylar.

I've just tried black+white poly, and nothings working.

I doubled it up even, and it's still not enough.

What can I use.

Sorry, I made this thread in haste, between e-mailing the guy back and going out.

The light is still showing through, pretty bad.

Since I assume that you are talking about the light showing through the closet gaps, it's a simple fix. Get some wood and frame out the inside of the closet just behind the doors or make a giant curtain that rest in front of the closet. It's up to you. Use the panda film for the backing of the curtain. Adhere the curtain to the wall just past the closet. Make it look nice though. But you may cause a heat problem. Or during 12/12 run your lights during the day.

But there's no way to totally light proof it?

My last box I made, I used some old 3/8ths tubing from a proto type hydro set I was playing with. I just tacked inside of the opening. I'll try to post up a pic....


Then I added a strip of 3/4" sticky backed insulation, thats at any hardware store, around the face where the door will close on to it.

I try a paint black where ever I'm trying to stop light. There are many ways, but framing out as someone said is always the best IMHO.

Hmmm, thanks, I'll try the framing.

But I'm working with folding sliding closet doors, so there are outside cracks, a big middle opening, and two smaller ones inside each side of each door.

So I would love to find a way to attack each light leak individually.

And I would hate to have to tarp up the whole thing, as well, that doesn't seem to be plausible, seeing as nothing is really thick enough to stop the lights from even my fluorescent lights.
