    anyone tried LPS?

Has anyone tried low pressure sodiums. From what I'e read, the're more efficient than HPS and have a longer life, ballasts aren't cheap though. The light is 1800k. You think that's too low in the spectrum? My flower room is about 2.5'x5' right now, I'm using a 400w hps with 350w of mercury vapor and a shit load of 26w 2700k cfls on the sides. I was gonna put up 2 400MH lights with 3000k bulbs thinking of adding a LPS as well. The 3500k MV lights increased trichrome production. Think that 1800 might have some benefit? I think LPS lights would be cool just because you could call them "lips". When the plants grow into them you could say "My lips kiss my plants!".:s2:

I don't know. I do know that they were more efficient than anything else for Lumens per Watt Input. Their color rendition is aweful. Whether the plants like the color or not is the question (pink-yellow). Besides, it's getting to be an obsolete product, so that's not good....

i cant remember if it was a CC or hightimes article probably about 6 months ago that they said definately no lps. wrong spectrums and the plants actually tried to grow away from the light since it is a yellow spec. that the plants cant use.
