new to growin please help

ok well im thinkin bout growin some pot and i just need to know the basics. i want to use florescent lights cause they are the cheapest and dont make you power bill shoot sky high. so how many watts should i use? and just tell me all the basic stuff i need to know about growin pot cheap and how to make the plants produce quality and lots of buds, and also ive heard you could make a pot plant grow like a bush instead of like corn so how would i do that? thanx!

First of all-where ya gonna grow at ? Are you still living at home ?

In order to produce quality buds that you will be happy with,you need good seeds,at least 250-300 watts of mh/or hps and you can add to that with floros,you need to read a growing guide to learn what the needs of the plants are,both enviromental and nutrition wise. Almost anyone can grow marijuana,but not everyone can grow it well..those that grow it well-took the time to learn how to grow first,what the needs of the plants are,and they take time to thoroughly plan and define their goals.

The easiest method of growing,is outdoors,but most new growers start indoors,with potting soil and pots,because you can strictly control the enviroment and exposure to critters and disease. If you're growing indoors,you might want to consider doing your first crop with good bag-seed first,so that you can learn how to grow and iron out any bugs in your growroom. Once you do that,then you can do a grow with good seeds from a seed bank.

Well, he said he wants floros, so what I would recomend is using full spectrum 3 or 4 ft tubes depending on the size of the grow. Put these all over, like two on the top, and two on each side. Use some bagseed from a bag that has a strain name other than "good shit" then buy some potting soil like Fox Farm, acquire nutes from advanced nutrients, and grow!

first of all yeah i still live at home but my parents are tottaly cool with it. and i need to know what the lighting schedule will be? how do i tell if they are male or female? when do i water them? how do i convert a male to a female?

Where exactly,are ya gonna grow in your parents house ? In your room,closet or basement ?

The lighting schedule should be either 24/7,the first couple of weeks or so,18/6 ,the next 6 weeks and 12/12,the last 8-12 weeks. You'll be able to tell their sex after putting them onto a 12/12 light schedule,sometime in the first few weeks of 12/12. The males will have clusters of 'balls' and the females will have a couple of pistels,looks like a v-shape. As for watering them,you can tell by the lightness of the pot-if ya can pick it up easily in one hand or if the plant starts to droop,it's time to water,alternating between regular water and fertilized water.

As for changing the sex-you can't,unless you want seeds,you'll have to pull the males before their 'ball's' open up and spew pollen everywhere.
