it may not be the speediest of solos but "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic is amazing, Eddie Hazel's the man who played it.

another great one is "Little Wing" (Hendrix) right when the solo first kickin in it reminds me of getting hit by a wave of acid.

thats a tough one, freebird is pretty good. but then again , stevie ray vaughn is the man, and any of his solos are wicked. also the solo during the song 'one' by metallica.
