I've been smoking buddah for about 5 years now and just recently I started having just horrible experiences smoking weed. Basically what happens is sometimes I will smoke and I will be just fine, regular high, giggly and chill. But other times when I smoke from the same bag I will just get extremely paranoid and numb. For example a week ago me and a friend were smoking and we just got super ripped, no problems. A few days later I started smoking out of the same bag, all I had was one bowl and my entire mouth went numb, I could feel no pressure on my tongue and during this period I actually had a lisp. It wasn't a very enjoyable high. Is it possible that my mind is making things up because my body is rejecting the marijuana in some way? Or is my weed just extremely good.
The only thing that puzzles me is that sometimes I'll get a good high and other times my high will suck, even though it's from the same bud. I highly doubt that it is laced either. Anyone have any similar experiences or more light to shed on this issue?

I forgot to mention that this started happening after I started buying weed at college, from several different dealers. Could it be that the weed up here is just insane?

I just don't understand how my mouth becoming numb could be in my mind, because I can feel it getting not numb after about an hour or two of smoking.

Anyone else have any more light to shed on this issue? I'm debating whether or not to quit for the next 2 months because of this experience.

Well, in my experiences, if you don't live in a place where cannabis can be bought legally, with a medical card, or in places like amsterdam, college towns (universities not small colleges) usually have the best weed. I attribute it to several reasons. Some people that go to college, didn't end up there by getting scholarships, but because they are wealthy. In my experiences, the people from colleges who have the best weed, are generally wealthy, so they can spend a large amount of money on good weed. Another reason is, there are students from all over the country and sometimes the world, who get weed that isn't available locally, etc... Several of the people I've gotten dank from, who went to a university have driven to their home towns such as New York, or other major cities, and have bought it there, and brought it back with them. They know it makes money, and it does. Several of my friends who live on a campus have a hard time finding mid-grade marijuana, and it pisses them off, because they don't always have the money to buy 8ths that range from $50-75.

Yea, I buy all my 8ths for 50 bucks usually. Fuck that outdoor and shwag bullshit. I'm from mpls and supposedly we have really good weed. I appreciate your input, but it doesn't really help me out with my situation. Thanks though, anyone else?

It's good that you're taking a pro-active approach to trying to fix your problem. I'd love to help. I think first, however, it would be ideal to have a little more background information. What are your smoking patterns? Where do you usually smoke? Do you notice any pattern to when you start having a bad trip? How do you react to these problems (the numb-mouth, etc...). Does it throw you off at that point or (since it's after 1-2 hours) do you think it's a side-effect to the weed?

I've been smoking for over 4 years, taking breaks on and off. I started early 9th grade, but only did it like once every other month, and then in 10th grade I started doing it almost daily. After 10th grade I did it about once every other week in 11th and then quit completely my senior year. I started up again my freshman year in college which is where I am now, but I started doing it daily. I usually smoke in my dorm room, at the frat house, or at my house. This issue has happened to me in my dorm room, and at my house. I only start having a bad trip when I notice that I don't feel like, for example when my toungue starts going numb. I usually react with paranoia and panick, for example the first time it happened my heart started pounding like crazy because I so afraid. The second time I was able to be a little more laid back, but I was still kind of afraid. I personally think that it's a side-effect from the weed, but it's hard because sometimes my tounge will not go numb from smoking weed. It's very strange, any help is greatly appreciated. Whoo. Go Minneapolis. I live around there. But yea its probably just your mind screwing with you. Stuff like that has happened to me before too.
