Has anyone else seen this movie? It's absolutly wonderful! It's the only movie had me leave the theater crying though, to be honest.

"Pan's Labyrinth" is the story of a young girl who travels with her pregnant mother to live with her mother's new husband in a rural area up North in Spain, 1944, after Franco's victory. The girl lives in an imaginary world of her own creation and faces the real world with much chagrin. Fascist repression towards the end of World War II (1944) is at its height in rural Spain and the girl must come to terms with that through a fable of her own.

It actually had a couple gruesome parts to it. Pretty realistic and definitely deep. But I guarantee the face smashing scene will satisfy you blood lust

One guy gets his head smashed in with a wine bottle, several other's are in short "head shot", one man tortured, another man is sliced up then knife is stuck in his mouth and pulled out the cheek only to be shot in the head later, all graphicly shown. I could tell you some others but it would spoil it

I caught it when it debuted in my town. It was certainly worth the time  Not very often that you see that combination of imaginative and bizarre fantasy world with important historical situations
If you get a chance, make sure to give it a watch.
