Augh - sucks! I remember when my friend broke one of my Roors less than a month after I got it. Snapped the stem off right at the bubble, taking a big section of the bubble with it. Good news is all is not lost -We can rebuild it, make it better, stronger prettier!

I cleaned the piece with denatured alcohol and a pressure washer - there can BE NO RESIDUE in it otherwise it may lead to uneven heating and adds to the cracking risk - plus most shops won't touch one that even looks a little dirty. Found a local headshop with a glass blower, chatted him up, and he said he'd give it a try - no guarantees but if he destroyed it, he'd return the pieces and give me a killer deal on a new one. I told him to have fun with it and add a little color if he could.

Repair cost my friend $85 and took less than a week before I got the call to pick it up. It's got the equivalent of the Bistabil joint now - nearly twice as thick as "stock" - and he added a couple of marbles and some blue squigglies to it. I couldn't be happier, actually. Now its a one of a kind and adds a little flash to the utilitarian design of the Roors.
