i've already said 300 is too much to spend on a smoking device (much less the 500 plus for a volcano)
just because someone can afford that doesn't for any reason automaticly mean they're getting the money from someone else..
never did anything he say, even signify he gets the money handed to him..
Save up bits until you can afford to get you a peice like that if you're so jealous of him having it...

I'm sorry for disrupting your thread like I have. In my younger days, before I had as much responsibility as I do now, I too owned a couple of (relatively) pricey smoking pieces and come to think of it, I know it would have broken my heart had any of them ever broken.

also, sucks man, i cant imagine spending so much for a piece, but I actually shed a tear or two when I broke my favorte piece (snapped the tip of the stem, so it gives a nice, sharp hit now ) and it was only 35$.

my most expensive bong was 75... it was an exact replica of a bong me and my (now dead) brother used to smoke out of.... some dickhead broke it by the way... it's not blown glass (it's what they call 'soft glass'... mass produced and what not...) but the head shop doesn't have another... i learned from them they don't really ahve a catalogue they order from, so that 2nd bong, was a fluke.... still have the peices but since it's not blown clear type glass, it can't exactly be fixed... without looking really tacky (it has a white background... like frosted glass) it could be repaired, and put together but it'd look really tacky...

but point is, my most expensive peice (i own a lot fo glass btw) was 75... it was more then enough, so that you couldn't really clear it... more then enough to get you good and fucked up, including ice water (by that i mean, even with ice and water it was unclearable to the general user.. i've seen someone clear a 6 foot bong, but that's not something you often run into) but it was also cheap...

the bong held alot of sentimental value and i nearly went psycho when it happened (sadness just happened to take over... well after shock subsided..) i can't find it (i have looked, over and over and over..) but, the bong it's self was plenty good enough...

paying ridiculous ammounts of money, and losing the bong is about as hurtful as one that holds sentimental value... but not quite.. there's always bigger and better bongs out there... but finding one that holds sentimental value.... is a bit harder...

Even the most desperate stoners smoke out of Sobe bottles sometimes. Keep that in mind. Smoking out of a 350 dollar piece of glass versus a 2 dollar glass bottle- which one sounds more of a waste?

it aint all about creativity, what would rather smoke out of, a dirty sobe bong with glue to make it airtight, unless u inserted a rubber grommet slide, or a fuckin smooth, milkable piece glass on glass bong which makes smoking a pleasure.

dont hate just cuz u like smoking sobe bongs, the only way i would smoke out of one of those will be wen im extremely deperate (like u said), no papers or blunts or glass bongs which is rare

Mine was 300, with bag and diffuser. My friend just bought a new triple chambered roor for 640, including the bag and diffuser. So now, all of our friends get together and we smoke all of our roors, 6 in total. We call it a roor party. Its something people who dont own roors cant do, and maybe thats why we do it. We payed extra for a quality product, after all.
