Snooks Eaglin - Virtuoso Blues Guitarist
Snooks Eaglin, of New Orleans, born in 1936, went blind at age one, started playing professionally in the 1940's.
His acoustic guitar finger picking is amazing, and his electric soul, blues and jazz styles are equally as polished. In addition to his own eclectic musical career, he played on many sessions with New Orleans legends like Smiley Lewis, Alan Toussaint, etc. Definitely the real thing, and he's still alive and playing.
His "Live in Japan" album is a very good one to start with, all electric, and cheap by mail order. Unfortunately, his Blacktop recordings are out-of-print.Breukelen advocaat Reviewed by Breukelen advocaat on .
