question about storing

i know this has been brought up more times than most of you please, but i have a specific question about storing your weed for extended periods of time.

over winter break i got a big bag of some high quality stuff. i wanted to save some of it, for a time when maybe i was not so fortunate. so i double bagged the eighth or so i had left, stuck it in a pill bottle (the orange ones, are those airtight?) and left it in a cool dark place. i figured this would work and preserving it. should i worry about mold? or the thc becoming less potent (that doesn't seem as likely to me)? or anything else?

also, for future reference, i hear air tight glass jars do a good job at keeping everything fresh. does plastic do the same? i found some good airtight, smell proof durable plastic jars, but don't want to use them if they don't do as good as a job.

all depends on the herb inside of it. ive stored in medecine bottles before for 3 months and they came out lookin real good, and ive also had some that didnt look as good.

depends how good you clean it. I got a mason jar that i stored salsa in and could never get the spicy smell out of it. Anytime i stored weed it always gave it an unwanted taste, so as long as its glass and you clean it very well and get the spicy out then yes it would work just fine.

Glass jars work the best but an airtight plastic pill bottle will do just the same
i was just about o but a large amount and keep an ongoing stash

Mason jars. Get a few at walmart. 16oz jar should hold about 1/4.

I also use salsa jars. Put the jars in the dishwasher. The lid is what continues to smell, so fill it up with 409 for a few hours and it shouldn't smell so much. Toss some dank in there and it will overtake any of the remaining salsa odor to the point you won't even smell it at all.

baby food jars...like gerber or anything..out a drop of water on the cover and seal it ..it keeps the bud nice and moised for long periods of time
