Plant topping
I don't have any HID lights, just using 4, 48" 40 watts fluro tubes, and I'll be using these besides placing the plants in the sun for vegging. I plan on sticking them out in the sun 7 hours a day, and the rest indoors in the fluro for a 24 hour vegative growth.
I was told topping them early will help for growing with the fluros to get more colas?
I saw this article at overgrow:

In the "Group before the Battle" picture from what I see here those entire tops are removed.
Do you guys think topping is good to help when you grow under fluros to increase the yield?
But from what I heard it will give you more, but then cuts the size down, where as if you don't top them they are bigger.Das Reviewed by Das on . Plant topping
Yes, every time you prune your plants they will produce two tops. But I wouldn't have over four tops, because too many tops will cause the plants to expand it's energy all of them and thus, cause lowered potency in the colas. So, with less tops, the plant will concentrate it energy in these few tops and keep an appropriate potency.
