    Cannabis breeding?

If one was to buy some beans of a certain strain they like and instead of throwing out all the males, keep one healthy male and pair it with one healthy female(Canna-Goddess) Then isolate them away from the other flowering Canna-Goddesses, give them a "lover's suite" and let them do their thing...Would the seeds that they make be good seeds that one could use in the future?

If so, how many seeds would this produce? Does anyone know or have they ever tried this before?

    THANKS!

a large plant can make alot of seeds thousands, smaller plants maybe not so many but you should have no trouble getting several hundred seeds even on a small plant if you let the whole plant go to seed.
and you can use them on a future grow, how good they will be can vary from great to not so great depending on the cross to begin with.

Ah breeding a 10 year night mare
To get a stable strain take more work than most can even think about.
    Lets try a and b
3 weeks to grow , and ready for bloom
    6-10 weeks to bloom
    10 days dry and cure
Now lets add in , Thinking both a and b are stable
Is a or b stable if one has a loose dna strain 1,3,7, sequecnes at there breeding.
Now lets add in the first grow test , did there clones come out stable
add 6 to 10 more weeks.now you have about 6 months in to TWO seeds
have fun enjoy it that the most important part, except for the books you keep.
I crossed White widow with ak49 and got a old broad that just shot off her mouth.
I crossed peak 19 and cindreller (sp) and got a girl that kept comming every 19 mnutes

I see...So, unless one just enjoys working with plants, it is more of a headache than it is worth to try and produce one's own supply of seeds for future use in growing plan? Now, is this nightmare you speak of related to cross pollinating different strains in an attempt to create a new strain, or to just seed production in general?

what exactly are you trying to do, if you are just gonna try to reproduce specific strains so yo do not have to buy more seeds then its not hard to do just look at one seed bank such as nirvana there all knockoffs, per example, there ak48 was a result of crossing serious ak47 seeds, there seeds may not be quite as good as serious, as alot of strains are not true breeding to begin with, but you shouldnt have much trouble getting similiar results to nirvana seeds.
as per creating a new strain or making your own crosses you shouldnt be afraid to experiment with it if you want , you may or may not like the crosses you made and they wont be true breeding but that doesnt mean you cant have some great results sometimes.
