jaw pain in dreams

I have problems with clenching my teeth. My dentist said I need to get a $300 mouth guard to wear at night. You should go get checked out. My dentist told me that clenching your teeth causes gaps in the space between your tooth and your gums, and that space makes your teeth loose and eventually your teeth can break. If you also get a lot of head achs it could be from this too.

So there would be some nights when I go to sleep and I have a dream about pain in my jaw, and I can actually feel the pain. I know that you cannot feel pain in your dream, so it must mean my jaw slips into a bad position when I sleep. This doesn't happen very often, but once in a while. I also have jaw clicking everytime I open my mouth, and sometimes when I yawn too wide my jaw seems to crack multiple times.

Does anyone else have jaw clicking, and should I go consult a doctor about this. I'm 17 and I had it for roughly 3 years. Thanks.

I have been suffering with it for about 6 years or so now.

It sucks ass. I can't chew gum, at all. I have to move my jaw to the left to be able to open it all the way.

It used to lock up alll the time...

In fact, it used to be a lot worse.

However I was given a prescription to NAPROXEN...and anti inflammatory...and all I need to take is 1 and im good for a few weeks.

TMJ is a huge pain....it sucks big time

Health insurance won't help out with anything TMJ related either, which sucks..so I pretty much SUFFER.

My jaw clicks aswell but I don't have any pain?? it clicks everytime i open my mouth and occasionally it gets stuck. When it does this it doesn't hurt but when it is stuck it feels like it is snagging on something. What you guys have said about tmj is simalar but I don't think it is the same. does anybody have any information about this?
