    I have some seeds

    Saved some seeds. I was wondering how many should I use if I want a get a plant going and what should I start it in, like a cup or a coffee can? I appreciate and input on this. Thanks.....

    I have some seeds

    well you should usually germinate them, some people like to have a wet papertowel in a bag and the seeds in the middle of it... in fact thats the only way i know how to.. haha..

    for a true beginner just place the seed about 1" into the soil and add a few ounces of water and wait a few days, check the soil and if its getting dry repeat step one until she sprouts up.

    i use small plastic cups with holes in the bottom to start seeds in, they are easier to judge when they need water, if you have a CFL light use that to get the plant started.

    be sure not to seal the bag if you use a ziplock. that's the method I've used a few times though and I'm pleased with it. I might try the method invision posted next time.

    here's more detail on this method if you're interested. Germination (i don't think it's a beginner method, just a method )
