Do you wear a crucifix, charm or pendant?
Every commercial fisherman I know, and a lot of my Coast Guard friends, wear a St. Christopher medal.
When I was fishing in Alaska, I wore my Maori bone fish hook all the time... never took it off... it was just threaded onto a piece of dirty twine that I picked up off the deck... tied on to my neck... didn't come off until the twine broke over a year later.

I started wearing it when I got my second motorcycle. I read about a Leather Jacket company that was sewing them inside the pockets of their jackets. By the time I ordered mine, they had stopped.
