I agree.
And I also think you can say the same for the Beatles.
As for truly overrated bands, yeah, I have to put Nirvana on the list... if it weren't for all the attention they got after Kurt Cobain's death, they would have been absolutely ECLIPSED by the talents of Soundgarden and Alice in Chains, who were FAR more worthy contemporaries.
Oh... and for solo artists... Geez, come ON, ELVIS FREAKIN' PRESLEY...
