i don't post often on this site, but i read several threads that i think may be interesting several times a week. it's incredible to me how threads that should be based on friendly debate last roughly 4-5 posts before turning into an online battle of the bulge. i truly enjoy reading this site, but there is literally NO reason that half of the threads i read should end up like this. i enjoy pink floyd, i enjoy the beatles. i'm not much into nirvana and tool, but i'm not going to say they are overrated because i've only heard a couple songs....they just aren't the type of music that i enjoy. my time on this site is nearing its end because i feel like i can hardly read a thread these days without members continuously bashing one another. i read a thread yesterday about a guy that was having trouble getting along with his mom, and although he VERY CLEARLY stated that he respects everything she does for him, most of the return posts were personal attacks toward him. the guy had a problem about which he was looking for advice and he turned into a human fucking pinata. sorry to hijack this thread, and i don't mean any insult to anyone, but can we just debate some fucking music?
