loyd] Pink floyds fans are typically the kinds of people that say they listen to a everything except country. Classic rock, early 90s rock, radiohead, oldschool rap and tool are not everything except country, im sorry.

to sum this up. Dont assume im not as musically advanced as you are because i dont like pink floyd. Its more like i surpassed you so extensively that your caught in the dust trying to pick yourself up and cursing at the world, blaming other things for your problems and insecurities.

I as well am not trying to say that pink floyd is the greatest band to ever walk the earth, but I am saying that with all the crappy overrated bands out there (i.e. 80's hair bands, boy bands, emo crap, and all the gimmick rock and fake rap thats on mtv to name a few), you decide to choose the beatles and floyd, two of the biggest and most influential bands ever to call the MOST OVERRATED OF ALL TIME. You may not like them, but you have to respect what they did for the music scene. Lastly I never assumed anything about you, so you shouldn't assume that just because I like floyd I don't have my ears in the underground scene. 90% of the music I listen to isn't "radio friendly". And yes I do listen to pretty much all genres, it just depends on my mood. Lately I've been on a jazz, afrobeat and hip hop bender. Jazz to relax and afrobeat and hip hop for more upbeat occasions. I'm makin some brownies and going to see ween tonight. I went to see a great latin jazz/salsa/funk band called grogus last night. Don't assume my musical tastes aren't as diverse as yours just because I listen to floyd.

damn. its just that, i dunno. I dont got much love for pink floyd. I got so bored of them. The reason i say there the most overrated band is because all these little 15 year olds talkin about how amazing pink floyd is because its the [one of if not the] only psychedelic rock band theyve heard of. Pink Floyd seems to me like there the sell outs of psychedelic rock, and in my eyes thats alot worse than selling out music thats not supposed to be appreciated as an art form.[as opposed to selling out music that had no intention of being something 'groundbreaking']

I mean do you really have to say that mtv music is overrated? i mean you can, but EVERYONE with a half descent music taste understands that. To be quite frank, i dont even acknowledge that garbage as music.

I agree 100% on that. I also agree that a lot of floyds stuff is way overplayed and especially true in high school. Honestly I rarely even listen to floyd that much. I've heard all of there albums so many times, but its still great to put in every now and then when your in the mood.

You cant say "MTV Music" man....MTV plays all different music...it dont matter if its justim timberlake or fuckin anything else....All of it IS a production of music, and whether its mainstream or not, its a piece of music...it was at some point created by someone...im just saying, a lot of the mainstream music is mainstream because its good shit, and people can recognize it....Not all MTV Music is con music....A lot of the bands did write their own shit...music isnt an argument man....music is for music....why are you worried about bands other people like? Music isnt about who likes what who likes who, and no one gives a shit what you think. Sry but its true...anyone who listens to music has some kind of interest in it so thats why they LIKE it....they dont like it cuz everyone else does....usually if everyone else does, and THEY want to...they will start listening...and if they like it they keep listening if they dont, they stop....its all honest man
