Will This Work?

Where I live there is still good sun and warm days so I can get about 7 hours of daylight sun. My indoor lighting is only two, 48" fluro tubes, one cool white, and one full spectrum sun, at 40 watts each.

I know I need a better light system, something more like a HID system, MH, or HPS lights, but in the meantime until I can afford them can this work, placing them in the sun when it's available, and then when the sun is done for the day supplement the lights indoors with these fluro tubes?

I'm giving them 24 hours of light right now in the vegative stage, the 7 hours outdoors, and 17 indoors.

It looks possible, ok for now I'm off to the store to buy 2 more tubes and a fixture, now I will have 2 full spectrum, and 2 cool white, for a total of 160w, at 40w each tube,
here goes

Later when I'm rich I'll get some HID lights

Ahh marimbas don't tell me that LOL, I don't have money yet for a HID system. What about that post over at overgrow.com?

Man I need some faith here it will work, BUT I have the sun here to put them outdoors in about 7 hours a day, and then 17 under the fluros after the sunset while they are in the vegative stage.

Will the plants stress after being in the sun, then getting placed indoors under the fluros, or will they adjust to the lower power of the fluros?

Das what your'e doing at the mo sounds ok to me you'll have bud to smoke dont worry bout that..jus' don't expect a huge yeild or real strong potency but yes you will have bud...when it comes to 12/12 i would use the 7 hours of day light an 5 hours of fluoros...not 12 hours of fluoros as you'll have decreased yeild the sunlight will help you out alot...so yeh if it works don't fix it

There has been some great grows with floros alone. I'll post a couple below for you to check out.I think you will be impressed. Just be carefull with moving it, Iv'e heard of plants turning hermie because of stress from going inddors to outdoors but it sounds like your best option at the moment.

My concern is one just popped above the ground, and this happened towards the end of the day, so it grew coming out with the fluros overnight. Now with it sticking out standing up maybe 1/4 inch above the soil I'm sticking it out in the sun for 7 hours of light, or should I let it get bigger under the fluro first, or while the plant is in the first week break up the outdoors hours with fluros?

Yeah I don't want to stress it, trying to figure how much sun to give right off the start, if I should start giving it full sun, then at the end of the day around 4:30pm bring it in for the rest of the 24 hr cycle, which would be 17 hrs under the fluros, hmm
