what do seedlings need?

just sprouted out of the soil after 3 days of geminating its under a little lamp and florecent at night an outside during the day so it is on a 24hr light cycle proly switch it to 18 after a week but what does it need as far as nutes?? when can i give it super thrive?/

Little seedlings need water and light thats basically it. I would hold off on nuterients for about 2 weeks then start them 1/4 strenght. If the lower "true" (spikey leaves) leaves start to turn yellow then you can give it more... Becareful not to overwater... just water it when it dry. Make sure the light is strong enough or your plant will stretch and fall over... Make sure it has a 40w+ CFL and some air movement so it will grow thick and compact.

thanks got it ill wait on nutes for a while it under a 40 incandescent plus closet flourescent tube about a cpl feet away and i leave a fan on it for a cpl hrs on a pcpl off and during the day it goes out in the back yard since its unnoticable yet

hey man, if they are indeed seedling, you want those flourescents no farther than 8-12 inches away....

Because they are so cool, you can put them just inches away from your seedlings, and they will stay nice and short, what every grower tries to achieve.

The farther away your lights, the taller, skinnier your plants will get, and that's not good.
