The real deal, Gores Kilowhores
How can one know his power is all "green"? When your house is connected to the power grid it comes from all over. No power company ran a dedicated line to his home. Now if I where to install solar paneling on my property, whatever power I generate but do not use gets put into the grid and my power meter runs backwards. If I give enough back It is possible for me to actually receive payment from the power company. However in New England that would not happen, not enough sunlight. I think what he pays into for "green" is like a state tax question here in MA. Our rate is 5.3% but you have the option to pay a higher 5.65%(the old rate) if you want.. why I have no idea, but the option is there.

The real deal, Gores Kilowhores Al Gore's Electricity Really $432 a Month by dotcommodity Wed Mar 07, 2007 at 07:14:35 PM PST Today I spoke with Jo Lynn, the representative from Green Power Switch, the company Al Gore buys his electricity from. I had called her a week ago and left a message that I wanted to buy a Green Power Switch Gift Certificate to buy Green Power for someone who lived in the Tennessee Valley Authority coverage area (Senator Inohofe, but I'll get to that later). She took a week to call me back, so Rating: 5
