Hello from The ATL...

Hello everyone,

I am a medical marijuana user who is here to learn all I can about indoor growing and hopefully to make some new efriends...So, I look forward to reading and learning the knowledge all of you have contributed to this site and helping in anyway I can in the fight to reform marijuana laws across this country and the world!:thumbsup:

I can't give my name for obvious reasons but here is a my story...I suffered a spinal cord injury 3 years ago that shattered my life. My spinal cord injury (SCI) could have been much worse had it not been for the many of DR's who have performed multiple surgeries on me and cared for me to this day...I am not paralyzed but I am still diagnosed as a quadriplegic due to the level opf my injury(C 4-5; C 6-7)...However, even though I am very lucky to be able to walk very short distances, I have severe nerve pain from the chest down and many other very uncomfortable symptoms I will not bother you with. I am prescribed several different pills for pain and several more for other symptoms I have. My DR's want to try this new drug on me that requires having a small pump surgically implanted in me with a small hose and wires that will be run into my spinal collumn for which the drug can be administered at regular intervals. I am tired of "new drugs" that "may" work and cost tens of thousands of dollars!:wtf:

Had it not been for a odd evening at a friend of a friends house I would never had known the very positive effects of marijuana has on my pain issues and the ability to relax in stressful times. Without going into detail that night was very odd almost magical in the manner in which I ended up smoking a joint. Although the effects were and are short term 30-45 minutes after smoking cheap bag weed, I have read, and hoping, that I may have much better results from certain high quality strains of marijuana. This is what has brought me here...I want to learn how to grow my own for several reasons. First and foremost, to be able to have this relief when I need it without my family and friends risking being locked up trying to buy something for me when they do not use it at all! YES, my bro and one of our friends risk so much just to help me and if they were to get caged up for trying to help me, it would be my fault! I fear this more than anything! Second, for my pain and the relaxing effects marijuana has on me that no other meds out there have been able to produce for me. Third, I love growing plants and flowers but due to my condition and the meds I am currently taking, I can't be in the sun. So, this will be a wonderful hobby to occupy my days at home. I am on permanent disabilty and social sercurity and stay at home all day while my wife works to support the both of us. So, I will be able to spend all day with my plants. My wonderful bro and a friend are currently converting a walk in closet into a grow room for me. It is now up to me to learn how to get this operation running and to avoid detection. I can already tell that all of you have so much to offer and are very willing to answer questions so that I should have very little problems learning.

So, one last thing, I can't understand how and why my government wants to put me and those of you like me and anyone fopr that matter in a cage with child rapist and violent killers for seeking relief from this horrible pain! I am not trying to sound like a baby but this nerve pain is horrible, it feels like I have been burnt bad from the chest down to include my privates!

Anyway, I am all about making lemonade out of lemons and not giving up no matter the how hard things get:thumbsup: ...And I see the fight to legalize medical marijuana just as important as my personal fight has been to deal with a spinal cord injury! So here I am, another soldier has joined the fight with all of you to utilize the gifts that mother nature has given us and intended us to use, and never give in to those who try to deny us this right!:thumbsup:
