I've not come across any of this 'gritty weed'. I spoken to a few mates and they haven't either. Must be a northern thing.

well when I came across the grit weed it was sand weed first time, we dusted off most of the sand and bonged it all, the second time abbatior dream told me some of my bud looked like it had been grit weed, and I take his word for it, so yeah only twice ever out of the 50 times I smoked when it started. The drought is pretty much over, its just that one or 2 BIG! growers may have been busted last summer and thus the smaller dealers were dry.

How do you know its just one lot doing it? It might have started with one group doing this but you will probably find others have copied them now.
I am still not really sure about this grit weed and the idea people are spraying grit on their crops to bulk them up. That makes no sense to me as it just seems like it would screw up the plants and you would get plenty more growth if you just left them alone and grew it properly anyway.
I reckon this grit is getting on the weed due to way its being moved/smuggled. If the weed were being packed inside bags of sand while the weed was still not cured properly you would end up with grit stuck all over it by the time the weed dried out. This makes more sense to me than messing around with your grow.

Heard on the news today, the Police boasting how they are busting 3 farms a day. So hold onto your hats cause it could get a bit dry in the near future. I suppose they got targets to meet and a cannabis farm is an easier target than a crack factory.

glaeken the "grit" is added afterwards to replicate thc crystals and add some weight, not during the grow.

Fair enough I guess that's possible. Not seen any of this grit weed in the flesh so just going on how others are describing it.
It would be interesting to see how much weight it adds. If it's sand type grit I would expect it to add a lot so 1/8th's of this shit should look small.
It's just so wrong to do this it's just difficult to believe someone would do it on purpose.
