spraying plants with seltzer water???
been doing a pile of reading about CO2 options and low ventilation growing today, and I came across the option to spray my plants with seltzer water a couple times a day. is this a decent option for my grow? (4 plants in an unvented closet)
i already have been dropping a tablespoon of baking soda into a cup of vinegar everytime i check on my plants (a couple times a day) is this enough as is? or would a seltzer spray down be beneficial too?StickyFingerz Reviewed by StickyFingerz on . spraying plants with seltzer water??? been doing a pile of reading about CO2 options and low ventilation growing today, and I came across the option to spray my plants with seltzer water a couple times a day. is this a decent option for my grow? with low ventilation all of that is pointless.....plants need an exchange of air to get enough CO2 naturally. worry less about the co2 for now and more about better ventilation. your plants will thank you for it.
also, what stage of growth are you in right now?

spraying plants with seltzer water???
http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-gro...questions.html
as i posted in another thread, my options are beyond limitted right now. i'm growing in my bedroom closet, and there are no real "good" ventilation options at the moment. i cannot do any cutting of walls or doors, or anything like that, to pipe in ventilation. which is why i'm looking for a solution to the ventilation problem in the first place, and why i'm searching for an alternative method of supplying my plants with co2.

well for veg there is no need to try and add extra co2.....its only beneficial in flowering to have a constant supply of higher co2.
Can you not leave the door open? fear of getting caught?(parents)?

spraying plants with seltzer water???
the leaves dont even open during the light period, all there pours close to keep the moisture in, and they open at night, so any foilar feeding during the day is pretty pointless and burns the plants under hid's

spraying plants with seltzer water???
i'm in a rental property, growing in a bedroom closet with bifold doors, i could crack the door, but there are alot of people through my place in a day. i just don't want the risk anyone happening upon a open closet beaming light out. i have a better closet i could grow in, but it is way more heaty.

seltzer water is a waste of time, unless you water the plants with it, which may not be wise. yeast and sugar water is your best bet, and you'd be alright if you found the ballance.
leaves don't open. you mean stomata. and the reason there is no exchange is because:

if one of these key ingredients is missing, there will be no photosynthesis, and no co2 exchange. using yeast and sugar, it's irrelevent; co2 will be generated constantly, and cannot be stopped. the good side of this is the abundance of co2 when the lights come on.
luv ya jack! when are you going to start the shot?

spraying plants with seltzer water???
Ahah, im such a hydro grower its gross! i cant even get my hands on some soil with out going out and actually buying a bunch i dont need. lol
I may be alittle off but i thought that there were pours on the leaves that take in nutes like foilar feeding... maybe there the same as the ones that take in co2 im not sure. I always thought that they closed during the light period to keep in moisture or maybe they just close when it gets too dry or hot and there are seperate pours that exchange c02. But then again at higher temps you can run more c02, so it would seem the plant can take in more c02 at higher temps, uh oh, im confusing myself.
I dont do either methods so im alittle skeptical.
