Clones & Yield
Just a quick one really, we've some clones growing nice now, their mums are in flower room, if given the same conditions, do clones produce the same yield as mums, and if we took a clone from a clone before that goes in flower room, does the same apply about yield or do you lose a a little everytime you clone ? The clones would be goin in after 4 weeks of veg so they'd basically be same size as the mums who went into 12/12.

would expect a clone to give the same or a little better yield than the plant from seed if they are similiar in size.
eventually you may lose potency and yield over time doing clone from clone but it still takes quite awhile. from what ive read its better to maintain the mother plant from seed if possible, and if you want to have clones available from the plant say 5 years or even longer down the road.

you should always try to leave plenty of branches that will allow the plant to continue to grow, but you could take enough cuttings from one plant that would not allow them to bounce back.
im sure it stresses them some but if you have problems with a mother plant turning hermie from taking clones it wasnt a very stable plant to begin with and not a good choice for a mother plant.

The Skunk #1 we have in flower at the mo, well they were our first grow, we topped them, had trouble taking clones, so took loads of cutting till we got it right, they took so much shit from us but are rewarding with growing really bushy and now with a whole lotta bud, out of 9 plants we got 6 fems, which is why i'm thinking one of the clones would be ok

i find i get "better" plants from clone. smaller internodes and I ushually get a gap between the soil and the first fan leaves when using seeds. This gap has been much smaller or non existant with clones.
Cutting a clone off a plant close to flowering will reduce its yield. Just think, that growth tip would have become a small cola. When i clone i remove the growth tips that wont do well and always leave the strong ones.

MAny growers prune these off even if not cloning, for a couple reasons:
-plant concentrates all energy on higher budsites (average size of colas is supposed to increase)
-airflow at the base of the plant is not impeded... very important in some situations... I would imagine most so when humidity is of concern
