Come on now. I'm high, but it isn't that stupid. Would it clean it? Or would it still smell like shit and have resin caked all over? I'd way prefer that to boiling it. I can't stand the smell. And I'm lazy.

Dishwashers reach high temp. heats and what will probably happen is either the sides of the dishwasher would be covered in tar after, or the filter where the food (tar) goes down into the pipes, will get clogged. The water will heat up the tar, causing it to melt and stick and clog things up.

I'm guessing it would reek up your house too.

So I would advise against this.

I usually just use hot water from the tap but this would probably only work if your tap water gets REALLY hot like mine. Also I have heard, but not tried, rubbing alcohol but I think that might leave a funny smell or taste.

Rubbing alcohol... good stuff... soak for an hour, clean with Qtip.
No aftertaste... isopropanol evaporates clean... safe even to use as a solvent when making goo-hash.

^^yeah rubbing alcohol works the best. if you just wanna do a quick clean of your bowl or pipe, you don't even need to soak it. Just dip a q-tip in the stuff and wipe away (i just did this last night)!

My step-brother and bf just made 'goo-hash' actually and it worked just fine using isopropanol...the finished product still smelt a little alcohol-y so I just left the stuff unsealed and the rest of the alcohol just evaporated.
