I was on a gaming board and somebody posted a topic about gaming and smoking, and I couldn't believe how mean and ignorant ppl can be about ppl who smoke! Wait a minute...let me get this straight...you people smoke...pot *gasp*...and you claim it isn't as harmful as my high school principal said?...for shame, I never. Now, where'd I put my bong?

Well your principle has that whole higher credibillity factor going for him seeing as he's a school principle and we're just stupid little kids who smoke pot, not to mention his brain hasn't been damaged due to smoking pot in the first place!

One of the stupidest things ive heard was that weed is bad because its illegal. Hmmmm alcohol was made illegal before and then re legalized. Now its no different, then when it was illegal, and everyone thinks its not bad at all yet alcohol kills hundreds of thousands of more people each year then weed. Not that weed kills people, but being irresponsible about smoking can cause death (ex. car accident...........eating too much lol.). I hate this fuckin country and all the fuckin people that believe what the gov. tells them about weed. Shit they wont even let dying people smoke for medicinal purposes even when it can save their life. What the fuck is wrong with the FDA? They will make shit like vicodin and codine making it available for people to overdose on it killing themselves everyyear, yet when they hear marijuana, they condemn it. Marijuana being illegal is pretty much an opinion based law because the law isnt based on scientific study, but instead is more of a money making/losing based law. They also say that making it legal would cause an increase in crime. When alcohol was criminalized, crime increased significantly. Go figure, the gov. doenst know shit. Look at amsterdam. A lot of drugs are tolerated there even heroin. They dont have a lot of crime at all compared to us. Making weed legal wouldnt cause crime to go up, it would probably have the opposite effect.

I have a good one. This is something someone wrote in a personal Geocities-like webpage:
"I do not do any drugs. But i was , in fact, addicted to pot during my first few years of high school. I remember getting high in the morning before school, outside at lunch time and then non-stop after school. I was depressed and pot, since it's also a depressant, made me worse and got me really sick. I even went to the hospital and got treatment. And people think weed isn't a dangerous drug!?! OOKAY lol."

imotep, not only that, but she forgot to mention somewhere in her equation of "drugs=bad because it made me depressed" that she's bipolar and takes antidepresants........I'm not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure it's the fact that she's bipolar that she ended up in the hospital

A lot of my friends said that pot is a "hippie drug" and that smoking it makes you a hippy. Oh okay, so I smoke it, and I'll instantly have dreadlocks, drive a VW bus and smell like patchouli?

And you're right poorman, there were more ppl happily talking about weed than condemming it. Still, it bugs me to know that the majority of ppl have ignorant attitudes when it comes to weed. It's amazing how malleable our perceptions of drugs can be. In the early 1900s EVERYBODY used cocaine. I mean everybody, old ladies, everybody. That's bc cocaine was promoted as a miracle health aid that can cure everything. It wasn't considered a drug, or bad at all. Back then, if you did cocaine, you were doing something good for your health, like drinking a health shake or something. Now, if you do cocaine, you're the devil! And if you smoke pot, you're a hippy!
