I worked in a apt complex as the plumber... the complex had bad sewers that backed up constantly... the past supers went and opened the cleanout caps in the basements and crawlspaces so the backups would not come up in the toilots... Fun job with my waders and a 2" pump...

Jag get a bag of Lime and spread on the waste it will make it a little better to deal with...

I will get some lime than, as for time, I have no clue how long it has been broken. My guess is it's been broken a few days, I hope I don't notice differently when I climb under the house. I noticed today though, that it is starting to flood into our yard. I will prob poor lime on it and than try and shovel as much of I can up into a bucket or something.

I wish I had noticed it when it first happened, I checked again today and it looks like there is a lot more paper than waste, so that seems positive. I should be able to fix it tomorrow. My g/f's dad is coming over tomorrow to help too. I'm sure he will have some good ideas as well.

pick up some bleach too and flush it first,,,it will cut the smell and disinfect some...

jagged its a bad job.. i have done plenty of them doing rehabs and whatnot. Best thing i can tell you is to make sure you get a fan going while youre under there. I wear rubber gloves under my work gloves and a mask if its leaking. Get you some throw away tarps to lay on etc. When your done you may want to cover the area with lime if its a dirt rea or even dig it out and bury the old soil thats there with some clean stuff. Either way the job sucks. I had one down in Evansville indiana i was doing and the damn pipe broke when we were taking it out and guess what? Me and my bro ended up getting a shit shower..it sucked. Some i have done were so bad i literally had to put toothpaste under my nostrils to kill off some of the odor i was breathing..camphor works better but toothpaste will do. good luck
