Question about probation and searching a house

Ok I'm living with a guy that is on probation for some shit that happened with his business he used to have. He smelt weed last night and freaked out (he doesn't smoke but has tried it years ago) saying if there's weed in the house it needs to leave NOW because his probation officer can come to the house and search the entire thing if she wanted. I stay on the 2nd floor and have the entire thing to myself, there's no reason for anyone to come up the stairs unless they are going to my room. So is this legal or an invasion of privacy? My room my responsibility is what I think. The thing that really sucks is I was just getting around to telling him about me smoking and that it's something I do on my own time and doesn't need to be worried that I'm some drug addict or something, but now that is almost impossible.

IF your paying rent all that they could search is his private living area and the common areas shared. YOUR personal room isn't up for search.

If the P.O. was to smell it when they entered though...they might be able to get a search warrent to enter your space based on suspicion.
