    City of God

This movie blew me away the first time I saw it. It was like a breath of fresh air.....cinematography, storyline, characters, plot development. It was brilliant. I own it and recommend it to everyone. I also saw the Constant Gardner, which was also a very good movie. I like movies that think outside the box and wake you want to be more away of the injustice that goes on in the world.

most of my herb is actually from the City of God, hehe. Awesome movie, but it's even worse in real life, I'm afraid.

    Opa, cheguei atrasado!! :stoned:

Yup, I'm from Rio. Are you living in Brazil? Your posts are usually spot-on from what I've seen. I have yet to try the microwave thing though.

The "Boldinho" is pretty good but I've smoked better strains around here. I'd really like to get my hands on some skunk though, can't find it anywhere.

Great film! Saw it again 2 nights ago, seen it about 3 times though, one of my favourites...

I like the way the story progresses from the three at the start who had atleast some morals to the brutality of the next generation and then the ending which seems like it will only get worse. Good characters in the film, liked the way you can identify with Benny as his character changes as he grows up, can understand Knockout Ned as well cos of the things he goes through. Rocket proves a good, reliable narrator, sometimes down on luck but in a much better position than many of the other characters, pretty down to earth and likeable.

    *SPOILER*

Love the twist at the end with Lil Ze's downfall, overthrown by the next generation

I love the movie, what i like just as much is the hour+ documentary thats on the special features. I'd like to know if Rio is really like that? as i'd love to visit either way....i also saw some documentary about a guy who held up a bus full of people and there were news people everywhere...i think it took place in rio. bus 47 or something
