the story line, the way it was shot, the sequence... all high quality.

hella. this movie is Fernando Meirelles's gem. i love the cinematography in this film! and the music! the story is epic and it makes me glad to know i never had to grow up in the world in a place like that. i love the narration and how the plot goes through time. i recommend this movie to alot of people.

has anyone seen the constant gardener? he did that right after City of God. its not as good as CoG but its a great 2nd place. a compelling story about kenya and the pharmaceutical companies fucking 3rd world countries. ralph fieness and rachael weiz are in it, definitly worth check out!

where about in brazil are you?

im from Rio de Janeiro, the very city where there is the (real) city of god. i never have been there, but have several relatives which live in places like that, full of poor people and dominated by the drug dealers. for me is always fun visite them, because i can see the dealers selling weed (and other things) in tables under daylight there...

and i didnt watched the constant gardner... but everybody i know which watched said it was very good indeed!

I loved both City of God and The Constant Gardener. But I do agree that City was better.

It's an amazingly fucked up and crazy movie. Very interesting indeed...and I had a major crush on the boy that was shot in the club....I forget his name.
