    I need some help!!!

    Hey
I'm thinking of enlisting in the Texas State Guard. This is different from the Tx National Guard. Since they are all vollunteer/no pay, and it doesn't say anything that I can find, do they still test for enlistment?

I know they test for tuition assistance and other stuff, but what about enlistment and such? I will be spending the summer out of state with family, but if they don't test, then I can enlist now instead of in august...

    anyone know the real deal?

    Thanks

well the thing is its a volunteer, non-profit/non-paying military association. Its the stay in-state version of the guard. I haven't found a thing, but I just need to make sure they do or don't test for enlistment

They will test. . . and since when does the National Guard not pay? Last time I checked they offered 20k a year at least. . .

Don't ask us all; call someone who actually knows.

Like the home office for the place. If you need an alibi, which if you don't leave your name and reguardless shouldn't need one anyways, tell them you just want to make sure that if you have to, that you bring the note from the doctor reguarding the subscription medicine you take.

Well I found out they do in fact test. So it blows I will need to be clean this summer...and like I said before, this is the texas state guard, not the federal texas national guard. The TSG only gets paid if they are called to active duty...
