it's not a matter of being ok with anything, it's a matter of being realistic. all that is being thrown in your face is the confidence born of two hundred years of advances and the occasional bit of ignorance from some cocky bigot. if mexico wishes to hold a centuries old grudge because their expansionist dreams couldn't compete with the similar dreams of the us, then i'd say they deserve their status as a third rate world power. the us hasn't kept the people of mexico and central america ignorant and impoverished, that was the work of their own governments. instead of grousing over imagined past grievances, maybe they should be working to improve the standings of their own countries. instead of running off and searching for riches in someone else's back yard, maybe they should put in the effort to change their own homes into someplace worth fighting for.

We had the child labor, we had the 25 cents an hour jobs, what did we do, we organized and went on strike, we fought the corporation bullies and the cops and we got unionized, we worked our system to get those jobs that the illegals have set back a hundred years. A carpenter now makes from 7.00 an hour to 10.00 an hour. when I was a carpenter 25 years ago it was 19.00 + benefits. the only benefit you get now is a job. The illegals that live 10 to a room and send their money back to Mexico and points south are only helping one sector of the American society, the wealthy. The middle class is sinking faster than the Titanic. Bingo Dippity and I don't agree on many things, but this is one. Go Home. Apply for a Visa and work the system. There are people all over the world waiting for a Visa, or work permit to come here, why should you be given a pass because you are a close neighbor, You're still from another country, just like Sri Lanka, Or India, and believe me, those people want to come here and work every bit as much as you Southerners. Go Home!

I just need to say this for my own good. The US government does not give a flying fuk about middle class, I think if they did this problem would of been delt with in the 1800's, but no they were perfectly fine with foreners coming here doing close to slave labor if not actually being slaves, Keeping them to build railroads, homes, farms, and an realy source of income, then kicking them out when there done with them. . . I think it was the 1920's when the US was using Herb as the excuse to deport most Mexicans. . .

Nothing is going to really change the way I think, cause all I ever really see is border hoppers getting screwed over for pennies. . . some of these people were very important people where they come from, and almost had no choice but to abandon it for a chance to feed there familys. It's not like there Contra funding a war. . . But, I do think I could find a few things that the US did to make sure Mexico never really advanced in its economy, just like they did with other counrties. . .

but what ever, I just don't think there is a point in stopping a process thats been used for centurys, If there willing to do it then fuck it, maybe we should try to get a better job than a fast food cook, gardener, carpenter, plummer, contractor, ect. . . I plan on paying someone to mow my lawn not scratching by on the money I would get for trimming the hedges. . .IMO

I hope to afford a good home in this country, but if I can't I will not hesitate to go over sea's to a country thats much ahead of the curve. . .

So the logice that I'm getting is, that our country should not have cheap labor. Does that mean we are going to stop working with other counrtys?
