I live in Los Angeles, I'm a 3rd generation citizen if it even matters. There is plenty of people, and plenty of reality here. . .

I have traced my family tree to this land before California existed so I guess I could come off as a dick on this sort of subject. . . sorry for the hostility. . . This countrys history just pisses me off. . .

I have traced my ancestry in America 12 generations back to the Mayflower (to the satisfaction of the Society of Mayflower Descendants if it matters) where, in Plymouth, Spanish was NOT spoken.

This country's history isn't perfect, but it's damn better than many others.

No place else in the world provided a "melting pot" for immigrants like America, and I doubt that any ever will again.

What does this have to do with race in anyway? In fact, point out when I even mentioned anything about latinos? The only thing I even mentioned that even close to mentioning the spanish language is mentioning the country Spain.

To assume I'm racist because you should make attempts to learn the language of the country you live in? Do you realize how fucking dumb that is? All I can counter is I'm not the racist one, I'm not the one that made this a race issue.

I belive for the most part I was talking shit to Gatekeeper, but the whole Minutemen thing to me is a joke anyway. . .A language barrier is only a problem if you are trying to work with people who speak other languages, Im sorry if one of you didn't learn each others language. Don't get me wrong, I support the Idea of having to learn english, but It seem like your mad that its there main language. . . For the most part I barly can speak spanish, but I would say I see 10 spanish only speaking people in a day at work, and I never have trouble, either I understand with what little I know, or they use what little english they know. If you have the patience its not really a problem. . .

But what is the main problem with imigration. . . Language, over population? I dont know, Lets take Japan for example, very small country country, problem with population, may english travel there and struggle with thee language with them, and yet they are at least twice as advanced then our country in language, population control, tecnoligy, medicine, ect. . .And our counrty which has the room, and the resorces is where?. . .Were to bizzy being distracted by Presidents putting on clown shows to keep our attention. . . Americans need to focus on the real issues here. . .

I know what your ancestors were part of, and who said they spoke Spanish? That was a language forced on my ancectry. . . and I agree thats why I don't understand why letting people in is a bad thing. . .

Let it be clear, my views of immigration. I support an open, regulated border. However, I don't believe anyone can just walk in a country and drain resources. This has to be earned, and should be given an opportunity to earn citizenship.

As for language, I lived in 3 other countries. With living there, I had to learn to speak enough German to be able to communicate, conduct business, and get around. It's precisely that simple, my views on language. If you live there, you have to learn to communicate with the majority. Nothing racist about my views.

And I agree with you, America as a country is not as accepting towards accomodating foreigners as places I been to. But America is a big country, and that's the reason why it's slower to progress in these issues.

Nope...many don't want to have citizenship. I worked with a few when I was pipefitting sprinkler systems at bigboxmart...and they make 1-2000 a week, work for 6 weeks at a time, then take a week go home to mexico, leave the money, and come back to work again. I have nothiing personal against the guys I worked with. Hell they worked their asses off. But, they are not spending a lot here. they eat cheap in mexican restaurants, and stay in their "comped" rooms at night.

As long as they earn the money does it really matter where it is spent. . .I mean they were still way cheaper than a real contractor, so consider the differance the tax write off. It will go to a nice american corvette for the guy who saved the money. . .
