oh ok.. so ifs he got an interview to test it that means it must be finished.
which leads me to believe that the delay WAS ms fault because they cant fit it onto one disc otherwise why is it delayed soo fucking long?!!?!

im still as pissed off as i was when i found out about the delay (for whatever).. ive come to terms with the fact im not gonna be playing it untill next year (cries lol) but damn... im still so angry.

p.s. dont start bitching to me if your 360 fanboy because i couldnt really give a fuck whether it was ms' fault or not... either way its delayed.

i forgot i had previously posted. yeah the game has been coded from what i understand since june/july this year. thats when rockstar where starting to look for testers.

the problem with a game like gta is that it is so huge there is so much to test. you literally have to play out every scenario in the game a few times. so as you can imagine in gta that is a huge amount of required playtime and input.

then this gets reported and the various coding gets sorted and bits and bobs tweaked, then played again. the thing with games is that all the coding and especially gta as it is running of a brand spanking new physic engine, check out natural motion. com for free demo of it. is that the code is just algorithm after algoritm and when you tweak one bit you invariable tweak bits you dont realise till you play it.

i didnt get the jobin the end as i couldnt feesably move to scotland whilst im still attending various clinics and seeing doctors

anyway cant wait for the game, cus it should be sick

In terms of actual GREAT games 2007 was the year of the 360 hands down. One major great game after another.


In terms of console sales, yes Wii is console of the year.


Games are more important though IMO.

whilst i will agree with you on a personal note.

i will disagree on a objective, games are all about personal choice and taste. so whilst a game may score 10 in every review in every mag, not everyone will like it. it is also a hard level to judge, due to the reviewer, magazine, etc. it is also worth noting many games mags/sites are paid for by publishing houses or the bigger corportations.

i mean people bitch about halo all the time but that sold well. i personally love halo.

so really in the war of consoles it has to be awarded on console sales. as these give a better reflection of the market trends.

on a personal note i would only say there have been 4 great games this year for 360. those being halo, bioshock, cod 4, mass effect(although riddled with bugs) but these are only my opinon.
There are also shit hot games on wii, rs4, wii sports, zelda cross bow training, emergency hospital, mario galaxy.

but it is all a matter of taste.

so consoles has to be the clear decider in winner.

Yes you are right, in what's great for one gamer another gamer may not care for. That doesn't however mean a game sucks, Halo 3 is a great game, not everyone likes it but that doesn't stop it from being a great game. But on the same token that's what makes a great system, is a diverse amount of great titles. It's the sales of the titles that matter.

What big blockbuster games has the Wii really had this year? Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 and that will be reflected in sales by the end of the year guaranteed.

360 on the other hand has had a large number of big titles

Bioshock
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4
Orange Box
Assassins Creed
Mass Effect

All those games will come out of this holiday season with great sales.

Wii sells more consoles due to it's gimmick nature and it's cheaper cost. Doesn't mean it wins the console war. It's a "novelty" value and it's less strain on the wallet. It surely isn't selling based on it's "expansive and great library".

360 on the other hand has an established library of good titles and has had one AAA hyped release after another since about August.

the list of games you quoted is true, but i negated orange box and assasins creed as these are multi format and so are negatable in the debate.

i agree that some games sell consoles. but you have to look at the wider picture of the wii. you may view it as gimicky but it actually is a very well thought out implication as it provides acsesability. this is why the wii is selling more consoles. it provides family fun as this has always been a staple of nintendo philosophy.

i do not agree with the notion that violent video games cause violence. they are not isolated from tv, films, books and media, if one is to blame all are. but the wii steps away from all of this in that it provides a whole host of accesable family games.

making it easier for parents to buy for their younger kids. but also is fun for every inthe family with the bucket loads of variety and party games it has. so whilst you view it as gimicky, its sales clearly dont reflect this.

in terms of games well the games you mentioned are my personal big games of the year and whilst there has been a whole plathitude of games released this year. 4 shit hot games is not a huge amount.

i understand exactly what you are saying about the games being a greater indication than a console, i just disagree and tend to hold the view reflected by most impartial industry reviewers and workers.
