Look at the positive, this will give the play testers even more time to find and correct even more glitches and maybe even implement an idea or two they may have thought they didn't have time for.

A delay while so fucking annoying can be a great thing as far as game quality goes. It may be selfish of me, but I have to agree with MS's decision and feel that if I can't get GTAIV in October, then no one should be able to.

btw, "one thing im wondering about is why ps3 is a few weeks behind?" could EASILY mean that they don't need to work on it as much... they haven't failed yet at putting it out on time... it's a bit of acoincidence when xbox gets it suddenly there's a half year delay....

also factoring in 360 is running at near full capacity (look it up yourself, i'm done arguing over it i've seen the facts) while ps3 is using far less then half it's power...

The older 2D GTA games started on the PS but were ported over to other systems, so they weren't exclusive. And Well III, VC and SA were TIMED exclusives and were released on the Xbox later down the road. Hell before Sony dealt with Rockstar on that issue GTAIII was originally planned for the Dreamcast. The reason it was a timed exclusive was because SONY had a contract with Rockstar to keep it exclusive for such a time frame, otherwise it would have went to Xbox and PC sooner than it did, bank on it.

This time before Sony could get their little greedy contract claws into Rockstar again, MS stepped up and made a deal with Rockstar to not only get GTAIV the same time as Sony but to have 2 Exclusive Episodes of their very own.

You get all pissed off because MS made a deal with Rockstar even though Sony did same thing last generation. It's a bit of a double standard.

All you have to do is look at his other articles, hes just out to get xbox. He doesn't link any source, hes just spewing it out.

you can't just believe everything you read, this guy doesn't even look like a credible source at all. How would Microsoft even ban the Playstation release? It just doesn't make sense, the reality is that they probably just underestimated the work that needed to be done and it got delayed like more than half of all games released.

In a note to investors, relayed in part by GameDaily, analyst Michael Pachter speculated that troubled Rockstar parent company Take 2 could push back the release of Grand Theft Auto IV into its next financial year, which begins in November.

"We believe that a two-week delay would provide a reasonable gap between the launch of Halo 3 and the launch of GTA IV, and would actually help sales of both games," he wrote.
Rockstar's comments will come as sweet relief to GTA fans anxious to play the first game in the series for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
