Greetings to you all. I'm new here, and have a question I'd like to put to the general membership for which I haven't seen any information, or even informed speculation, anywhere.

Let's say a guy has to endure random testing at regular intervals, at work (quarterly), and has the option of abstaining 1 or so months out of 3 each quarter, just in case the computer lottery at work tells management it's his turn to piss in a cup this time around. So he's relatively safe due to the predictability of the test schedule. Let's also say that he started growing his own a short while ago.

The question is, can proximity to growing plants, and the occasional handling of same, put those metabolites in his system, and trigger a positive test, even if he hasn't had a toke in a month and a half or so. I (he) can certainly smell the aroma from the plants in the hypothetical cabinet in the hypothetical basement workshop, and must of necessity trim them from time to time. Not to mention the drying of the trimmings in the kitchen microwave.

Anybody care to comment on this one?

Well im almost completely positive it wouldnt be the thc is realsed when burned and thats why its in the smoke if your just touching the plants it shouldnt because it wouldnt go through ur fingers and then out ur piss yup yup

Depends on the type of testing. Piss tests would likely be safe, but in a skin test you're throroughly and undeniably fucked. It even depends on the piss test, to a point. The fact is that you do absorb some of the resin off the leaves, but it's quite minute. Unless they have an insanely sensitive test, it wouldn't show up. Just remember: it is on your skin, hair, and sweat.

I would have to agree with zara. I doubt that you could absorb enough THC through your skin to create a positive test. Is this hypothetical person actually you?

No absolutely not. PUff untill your time comes then stop like 3 or 4 weeks before hand and excercise a shit load, go the sauna etc...(Sweat a lot). Also take pills called Niocin and drink cranberry juice, oh yeah with all of this drink copious amounts of water and you'll be pissin' like a race horse. Good Luck

Rachel, you know something I don't? (Hell, everybody knows things I don't). I'm a bit nervous about all this, since I know so little about the subject, and am reluctant to take chances. I have a pretty good job and rather like the lifestyle that goes with it. So I throw myself on the mercy of the reefer forum here and try to get this thing sorted out the best I can. I'm grateful for the advice of the members here.

I had a horse when I was a kid; she was a buckskin, and too high spirited for me to handle very well. We rode english style (maybe that was the problem), and I called her Ursa Minor, which is the name of a star constellation.

Sounds as though you're stressing rather hard. How much notice do you get after your name is drawn? If it's more than an few minutes, there's always the possibility of getting clean piss and faking it. Just a thought
