about to have my first harvest, question since part of plant is not finished

white widow, i let veg too long. Plant is around 5 feet tall! grown indoor aeroponically. Has been flowering for 60 days.

The top/middle of the plant is ready.. the hairs are red, the trichomes are cloudy.

Howeever, within the last week or two the bottom (and i mean right near the stalk!) has really developed a LOT of buds, but they are definitely not ready. Hairs are all white, trichomes clear. I almost wonder if this happened because my plant got too tall, and the tops got burned. Because of that my top colas never got really big (plant topped twice), but i wonder if it caused these additional budsites to grow? I'll take pictures later..

Anyway so tomorrow morning after the 12 hour dark cycle I am going to harvest what is done on the plant. I've been flushing for 2-3 days, and i intend to give some nutes after harvest, then flush agin.

My question is, what all should i cut away when i harvest the top/middle? should i just got the buds and leave as much of the stalk/branches as i can? Or should i remove some of this stuff to get more light to the bottom? What about fan leaves etc?

I have a 400W switchable HID and a MH/ HPS bulb.

sounds like the light will not be reaching the lower branches, and buds will not devalop properly, will be airated loose buds usually plants that size need side lighting to devalop the sides properly but i cannot see the plant so hard to tell.

cut only the branches with buds that are ready, leave everything else, especially fan leaves...

the rest should be ready in a week...

Yeah! Those fan leaves store food for the plant.So be sure to leave as many as you can!Scarlets so,right!

alright.. done and done.

i beleive i got 2-3 oz just off the top 60% of the plant, bottom is now basking in the sun. quick dried a couple buds to for fun, no complaints, taste isnt even bad, but i guess it can only get better!
