Difference between Probation piss test and a home test

Ive been clean for about 2 weeks. I bought 2 home test kits and a Detox drink that masks my piss. My piss test was today. This morning when I woke up I did the piss test and tested positive for THC. About 1 hour and 30 min prior to my meeting with my PO. I followed the instructions of the Detox Drink and drank it. I used the home test kit again and tested negative and my piss was not inclunclusive (diluted). I went to the probation office and pissed in the cup. My question is, what is the difference between the home piss test and the equipment the probation office uses?

Not much. I've heard the home tests are just as accurate, but they don't test for stuff like dilution, additives, etc.

Like, you can put a few drops of bleach in it and pass a home test, but that will fail the pH test on a lab one and you will fail the test.

So basically it just makes sure you don't cheat.
