    i have a heat problem

I would just grow and deal with the heat. thats what I do with my Cab... and I get decent results.

My cab hits 90 during the day somtimes. And its an average of 82 to 85, For The Veg part of the Cab.

Don't put them too too close to the CFLs, Thats all I do YOu can see my results

    CFL Grow Cab Log

I open the door when the light is on in the 12/12 chamber but it still sits around 80 or above on any given night.

Two things I do is One get fans blowing air like mad around in there. SO even if its hot air at least its alwasy moving.

And two get some good stress relief vitamins. Superthrive or somthing A little more geared to heat stress and such. I use a product called BIO-GENSIS Synergy and man I'm not sure if Its helping with the heat like it says it will but since I replaced Superthrive with it My plants look 1 million times better. Thicker more vigrous etc. All kinds of Pluses.

chekc out my Log... those plants were grown at high temps 80percent of the time I would say.

Just grow and except there aint much you can do about it for this grow. QWhen you get a new spot to grow, hopfully it will be better.

dont be such a scardy cat and cut some holes and install some fans. Pretty plane and simple. You can cut holes in doors and just replace them or fix, rig em to look fixed. Patching drywall takes like two seconds. If you want more help just let me know because i feel your pain and the heat is now.

To keep heat down in my closet I had a big ass fan in there and left the sliding doors open a bit on each end. It created a nice flow. The fan is about 2ft in diameter and it blew right on the light (250W HPS), and under the light between it and the plants. Mind you I didn't have temps of 104! Good luck man.

I have plans to install a piece of Plexi glass right below my bulbs to seperate the rooms a little. So basically it will be one room for bulbs and one for plants. much like Invisions Cabinet...

do a search for it its really slick and he controls his heat that way.

I've seen invisions grow and it looks good. Have yet to see how he's got that thing set up though. The plexi seems like a pretty good idea if you can pull it off nicely. Have you looked into an air cooled 250w or 400w. With the remote ballasts they make cooling a cinch if you have ventilation dialed in. I cool a 400w air cooled in a 5x2x8 clos with very little problems. Fan is 150 cfm, cut one hole. Set up is nice and easy and they put off a nice footprint. Squeezed 11 fems under it. You can set em up for no smell also, just havnt yet. Catch the drift?

ok if i cut the walls in my closet how hard is it to repair. And where would i cut. and would a 6" inline fan from lowes work to pump the hot air out?

and is the gap under the door good enough for intake or do i need to cut more then 1 hole. also how do i patch the hole when we move?
