Yesterday (December 7th, 2004), the 1000th U.S. Soldier lost their life in Iraq.
But, it didn't even make the main headlines in our news here - how about it the US?...or did they fail to mention it there, too?

We, in the UK, still don't know (aren't told) what the death-toll is for our troops.....

Its so sad to hear about all this. Exspecially when its so unnessecary . I wish we would just pull out and let this stop. to many of our soldiers are dieing and there is no need for it we shouldnt be over there! We need to stop this before it destroys us !!

I think we should be in Iraq, in the long run I believe we are helping the iraqi people as a whole.

However, far too many people are dying. The wrong people are being sent in and intelligence and organisation seem to be very bad. I think the same effect could have been achieved with 1/10 the loss of life.
