Stems in vodka?

Way back when I was a young hippie, we would put stems in vodka and let them sit a week (usually after buying a $65 kilo- yep, I'm that old). Then we would take some pot and soak it with the cannabis infused vodka. I would set mine on the fridge and forget it while the vodka evaporated. Then we'd smoke it. - Granny:hippy:

wow, my parents used to talk about 10 dollar ounces, my dad talks about kilos of weed still. it makes me laugh cus you cant buy it by the kilo in america anymore

but on subject...ive done similar, except bought an LB of regs, soaked 4 ozs in ever clear a couple weeks and then dump the everclear on another 4 ozs of grass and let the liquid evaporate.

the result is just about the greatest thing ever...hash oil covered buds

My parents grew up in the 60's and they always tell me how a dime bad literally was a ounce... an ounce for ten is insane! I envy that! Infact my parents even had some weed in an old film canister from the 60's... i got to try some, it was ok, it had a sativa like fun high but nothign too intense nad chock full of seeds

THE THING I REMEMBER ABOUT THE "5 FINGER LIDS", WAS IT WAS ALL SHAKE. WE NEVER SAW BUD UNLESS IT WAS THAI STICK.
WE NEVER KNEW IF YA LEFT THE PLANT TO GROW ALL SUMMER, YOU WOULD GET BUDS. AINT THAT SOME SHIT??

this is kinda funny! as i sit at my pc im cleaning the resin from my own vodka.
this is my 5th time at doing this and it works.
here's how i do it and i know several other people that do this on a regular basis.
first: get a gallon jar (like a restaurant get there pickles, condiments, etc.
second: take this jar and get some black tape and tape the whole jar up so no light gets thru it.
third: get some shake and pack that jar full pack it tight.
forth: next gat a quart of 100% vodka ( i liked the everclear idea will try that next) pour the vodka in the jar.
fifth: leave the jar alone after the initial put in vodka but shake it up vigorusley. i leave mine in the jar for a month, i've found this works best. but every three days you have to shake that jar again very vigorusly. i've experimented with the times and the month works the best for me
fifth: the end of the month is here, get yourself a nylon stocking and take the weed out of the jar a bit at a time to keep it managable. squeeze the juice every bit you can get.drain this into a pyrex or glass container i've found that if i use 2 dishes i can evaporate the vodka away faster, and it takes awhile to evaporate the deeper container you use ( i have 16" and about 1 1/2 deep) when the residue is almost dry you can scrae the vessel with a razor blade or what have you. you'll will get a ball of residue ( since i found this to work i don't share cuz it good. first batch i shared with people then they wanted to buy it so i keep it for myself) keep the finised product in the fridge or freezor. i use my fridge to evaporate liguid as it goes faster and there's no open flames becareful with fire around open vodka as it will ignite
this is a proven method and i have friends that don't smoke and they sell there's, guess im greedy. and i won't say where all the shake comes from lol.

thc is alcohol soluble, so it can't hurt to put the stems/seeds/etc into vodka. just keep it in a dark area and keep it closed tight...i wouldn't expect to get ripped off it though, unless you use a lot of seeds/stems/leaves, and leave it there for a while. remember to shake it periodically
