    hydroponics flower time?

I am growing ardians strawberry haze feminized from Greenhouse. I am using a flood & drain hydro cabinet. According to greenhouse info, strawberry haze flower time is 9-10 weeks. I am at 8 weeks right now and using a 60x pocket microscope, it appear the tricomes are cloudy with a few amber. I realize it is time to flush so I can harvest in about 3-5 days.

My question is...does hydroponics reduce the suggested flower time or do I have a mutant plant?

Nope - Flowering time is the same in hydro or soil. Are you checking several locations for color? MFRS suggested flower times are just that - suggessted. Slight difference in genetics can make some take longer or some finish faster.

Take a nug off now, take a nug off in 3-5 days, if you harvest leave a nug on and take it off in another 3-5 days.

tag each nug, see which one you like best. Then you'll know...

Growing in hydro may shorten flowering.

yo jackdawack where'd you hear that? just curious, as i've been wondering about this very issue.
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

true, hydro can and often does shorten flower time by a week or two, and can cut veg time in half. and still give higher yeilds...

    that's why they invented it

w/experience in both....I find that it takes as much time in hydro as soil....and the yields are similar....there are several other pro's an con's but that answers what your askin'.

im sure every hydro grower in hear will completely dissagree with this statement. I find that my plants always finish ahead of there e.t.a. if not right on time, ive seen alot of soils actually take longer.

if you grow hydro correctly, that is with out any messups or oooppps's, you should be ahead of time when harvest, but if u stress the plant in anyway there goes ur early week harvest.

I'd have to agree with Jack on this one...although I think it's possible to get pretty close to the same results with soil if you keep everything ideal the hydro system provides more of what the plant wants more of the time so it would lead me to believe times would be a bit shorter for hydro...

I haven't flowered yet using my new aero system but since I've got the veg growing well I've noticed daily growths that show an increase in fullness that far surpass what I did in soil...I would find it difficult to believe plant roots could breathe as much as they truly desire in soil because most of the root is in contact with the dirt

I'm wondering what the conditions of these attempts were for stoned and fasts that make them believe hydro isn't quicker

one thing I do know is that if you make a mistake or "ooops" as jack put it you will notice the problems much much faster which would also push me to think that you would notice positives faster too

I could be talkin out my ass but the people at NASA are pretty smart and if they say it's better I usually just accept it as true enough haha
