question about stinky's cloning method..

Thanx for your reply stinky, that makes a lil since, although i have no idea if its a fungus problem but i know my proprogator isn't sterilize. Thanx stinky much appreciated, i think i'll stick to powder from now on.

I've run side-by-side tests trying:

1) rooting gel, powder, neither.

2) anti-wilt and nothing

3) nodes below the medium surface and no nodes below surface.

Conclusions:

1) no gel or powder

2) no anti-wilt-----only humidity dome.

3) nodes below surface ARE NOT required

Most time 100% strike rate ( 7-10) days) with little withering on fans.

Only used rockwool once----hated it. aero clonner, growrocks, or vermichlite works well for me.

I have 98% success with Rock wool, one of the things i learned early on was that you can keep them way too wet if your not carefull , you want to squeeze some of the water out of them everytime you water them, you can weigh them at first untill you get the feel for how heavy they should feel.a dry one is around 5grams, after i dip one in water and squeeze it they are around 50 grams then i dont let them get below 30 before i water them again,you have to let them have air too! soon you will get a feel for it.Also make sure your razor blade and everything is super clean before taking cuttings, i clean everything with rubbing alcohol before i start.I use Hormex rooting solution, you just let the cutting sit in it for 1 minute before putting it into the soaked rockwool.Don't forget to squeeze them when your done!


I have never used a dome or any wax/wilt spray or do i mist them.With the success "usely around 98 or 99 %" i figuer why change my ways
