It would work for a lowryder, 12-16" average. I would rather spend that $150 making a large aeroponic chamber. You could make one out of a 30 gallon rubbermaid tub/buy the seeds/and buy the lights for $150. I wouldn't waste my money on it, it also doesn't put out enough lumens.

Aerogrow....for weed??????????
I have plants growing in an Aerogrow right now. I removed the existing seeds and transferred small sprouts to the seed pods. I recommend using your own nutrient solution. I tried to use the nutes that came with the seed kit, but my timing wasn't quite right. I encountered what I believe to be a Magnesium deficiency and immediately replaced the solution with my own. They are doing very well now.
The above posts are correct. The Aerogrow is too small for a complete grow. I decided to try it because I needed something for growing small plants vegetatively with little maintenance. I'm planning to move my plants to a bubbler system + HPS light for flowering.
Standby for pics...

Aerogrow....for weed??????????
Here are photos of plants in an AeroGarden. 24 days from seed and 16 days in the AeroGarden.
I had what I believe to be a nutrient problem and fixed it by using nutes that did not come with the AeroGarden seed kit. Affected plants are recovering...
I plan to move these to a cabinet for flowering. I'll be watching the roots closely to make sure that I can get them out safely.

Not enough room. Not enough light. Those plants will not survive in that thing.
All the aerogrow is is a small hydroponic system. You'de be better off building your own for 150 dollars. Head on up to the hardware store with 150 dollars and you can make one hell of a hydro system if you know what you're doing.
In my opinion any ways.

Agreed...and thanks for the comments. I think they would look better if I would have used my own nutes from the start. I'll be moving them to my cabinet as soon as I receive my new ventilation fan.
