You need mushrooms and/ or acid, dmt, dxm, etc. etc. One of my favorite movies books of all time, you just don't understand it, look deeper my son.
\"Where I come from, you don\'t blow no harp, you don\'t get no pussy.\" Willie Brown

\"I didn\'t mean to kill nobody, I just meant to shoot the son-of-a-bitch in the head. Him dying was between him and the Lord.\" - R.L. Burnside

I thought at the most it would be about some guys smoking reefer but it was really a bunch of drugged up fuck heads screwing around.

I would not recommend this movie at all. I can't see why anyone would want to watch this movie. It sucks.

You call him a lair and don't even know his name, wow, that fact must be true.

It is based on his experiences. It came from his original movie On The Campaign Trail '74. If you even saw that movie, Hunter S Thompson acts very much the same as Johnny Depp potrayed in the movie, exepct the movie in '74 was just done with home video cams., and wasn't a scripted film.

You obviously know 0% of this person and what he's about, so stop pulling facts from your ass.

I can relate to him. I did the acid, I did blow and stayed up for 5 days in a row. Maybe not to his extent, but I understand where his insanity comes from, so yes, I can relate, which makes it funny when I see someone else do that.

    So...:S4:

Hunter r0x!! the lead writer for the US counterculture. His book of living and almost dieing with the Hells Angels in Oakland, Calif during the mid 1960's was a great piece, including his countless other writings.

A elderly dope fiend living out in the wilderness - 1 of his descriptions about himself, truly a gifted man.

Hunter shot himself in the head a few years ago, maybe a reflection of his "Gonzo" style of journalism as he had to have it all to the extreme.

Dont go hating what you dont understand people, his books and movies and documentaries are great, just have a open mind not blocked by the idealogical stigma society puts on things or pure prejudicism.

Fear & Loathing, outstanding book, movie tried to capture it all, but did embelish some parts such as the bar scene, but all in all.. 2 thumbs up from this stoner!
