How wasteful are joints?

I love joints. especially when it is windy and all you got is a pipe that takes forever to get baked cause the lighter keeps blowing out. My friends dont like them because they say they waste too much weed. How wasteful are joints?? out of a gram of weed how much would be acually smoked?

Pipes can be impractical. But with experience and the right lighter they work well. I prefer not to cmoke tobacco but I do miss a nice sweet ketama J when I am having a beer. I prefer to stay away from that dirty shit though, and i also like to be able to run a few yards without getting a split, I'm a terrible nicotene junkie.

I find humidity can often affect how well a pipe works. I just put up with it and consider myself lucky to be living this side of the North Sea.

I think smoking it in a pipe can be a little wasteful as tobacco ensures that the hash burns at the required temperature.

depends on how they are rolled. I have seen people roll a pretty joint, light it up, and you can barely pull on that fucker and a cloud of smoke rolls off the tip somehow. If your joint can't make you choke, then i would probably think its wasteful.

Next time you are fixing to roll a J, take that amount and smoke it in bowls, then ask yourself which high is better.

joints can be a bit wastefull but honestly so can bowls... the only way your not going to waste a bunch of THC is if you go out and get a decent vaporizer....

Personally, joints and blunts are my favorite, but i usually only smoke blunts if i'm with a people, Joints and blunts are an occasional thing for me, cause when i roll a joint or a blunt... i dont mess around 3gram minimum for a blunt... 1gram minimum for a joint.

i just remembered a study i read about a while back... Supposedly in a study (i dont know the sources so i cant confirm that thier accurate) they found that 95% of the THC in marijuana goes up in smoke... generally the more potent bud has around 15% percent THC, so your looking at a whole lot of wasted THC (unless of course your using a Vape, hten your getting a prety decent amount of that THC

I myself am not a big joint fan. I think they are wasteful to some degree but not terrible. like you said it is useful when it is windy out.

I like bongs the best. With a bong, you can control how much burns at a time, and there is no weed constantly burning like in a J. even when passing it around there is a fair amount of smoke loss.
