Gone for 5 days
I am going to be gone for 5 days next month for spring break and I am wondering if my PH levels will go too crazy while I am gone. 5 days without adjusting PH, how much harm could happen to my plants?
I should start checking and recording my PH daily and find out how much it changes over 5 days unchecked.Dr.Hashman Reviewed by Dr.Hashman on . probably, just make sure you test with the same nute mix that will be in the tank while it is unchecked. For Example, you dont wanna test you veg nutes now, if you will be switching to flower by then. I'm sure the two will act differently.

Ph is a funny thing with many many factors influencing it. Nutrients have somewhat of a buffer affect on the water but only to a certain extent. I would look into a doser. Theres one in the Grow FAQ that will work but can only bring your PH up if it drops. I am currently using the doser in the FAQ and it is satisfactory but I am working on a better doser that I just posted up. I wouldn't count on just checking it for 5 days and expecting it to be the same for the next 5 days. Peace

I think I will just keep a log with all the PH changes in it so I will know how I can leave it at to stay at the best range while I am gone.

a ph swing of .1 of the target is to big IMHO, but im a perfectionist, and my results show it

As long as my plants survive and I get some herb from it, I will be happy. I'm doing a grow under CFLs, i'm not expecting alot.
