i usually top them also, keep light a little bit closer without burning, use highly reflective walls close, and choose indica, here a few i did recently

I'm looking to begin growing but I need to know how to keep my plants from growing above 2.5-3.0 ft and I would like them to be short and dense. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
