My mom was diagnosed with Lupus around 5 years ago.

She struggled for awhile and did all kinds of different methods of prescriptions to make her feel better, one being prednisone...and another was chemo therapy once a week.

The doctors basically gave her the run around while she was being diagnosed..saying she had rhuematoid arthritis..then it was fibromayalgia...then it was lymes disease...Finally they found out Lupus.

So for a few years she was on these drugs to make herself feel better....and she got to the point where she didn't need the drugs anymore.

Around 2 years ago my mom started to get sick again...with different ongoing things...thats the thing with lupus is it is always different.

Anyway, so she would naturally always go to the doctor with her new health concerns of lupus..and they would tell her what it was, and give her more medication.

Well, she went on the chemo therapy again...for a long time..and she thought it was making her feel better.

Then she felt like she was good enough to not need chemo and I don't think it was working that well anyway.

So the latest now is that shes allergic to wheat, soy, dairy, and gluten...and now her doctor is saying she has a thyroid problem..and she got meds for that..

..and then a few weeks ago her doctor told her she had a kidney infection..and she did the meds for that...only the symptoms won't go away, shes still really swollen and not getting better.

Her doctor put her back on prednisone, because they said if she didn't than her body would attack her kidneys...and thats bad..

..I just don't see how prednisone is going to help anything. If anything I see it makes things worse.

I am just so frustrated because I know people die from lupus and I love my mom sooo much I just don't know what to do.

She just seems to keep getting worse, and there's nothing I can do about it.

..she always just sugar coats things so I don't get worried, and she won't even tell my grandma.

I'm just so mad...I wish I could do something...I want my mom to be normal again and healthy..cause shes so strong and always tries so hard..
